Came all the way from Hong Kong to visit friends in Stevenage, and to my surprise, I found an authentic Thai restaurant that perfectly blends traditional flavors with the cozy vibes of a British local spot. Honestly, I haven’t come across a place with this kind of atmosphere back home in Hong Kong. The Tom Yum soup was wonderfully savory and full of flavor. I also tried the pineapple fried rice, which was delicious, and the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles were equally excellent. The restaurant owner was so nice and inviting me to come again for lunch or dinner on another day. Sadly I had to fly back to Hong Kong but I will definitely revisit Golden Siam!

This restaurant was recommended to us and after reading the reviews, we decided to give it a try by ordering a takeaway. True to the reviews, the food is amazing and tastes really nice. We tried a red Thai Curry, a stirfry dish and a pad Thai. They were all excellent. The meat is tender the sauces flavoursome and the consistency was spot on. The price is on a high side compared to other Thai restaurants, but given the quality, it is worth the premium. If you collect the takeaway they offer 10% discount. For the 3 dishes it cost us 41. My only disappointment is for the price we paid we had to pay an extra 4 for a portion of Thai prawn crackers when most other places will offer it for free based on the amount you spend. We loved the food and we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Visited Aug2022. A traditional exterior hides a modern interior, elegantly decorated with excellent lighting throughout. Great atmosphere. Food, wine and service is excellent. The food is superbly cooked, with maximum range of flavour packed into every dish. The venue is generous with its chili. The wine list is long and features wines from Thailand. Spicy food demands spicy wine, and the Monsoon Shiraz met the high standard demanded by the food. The restaurant is located in Old Town Stevenage, for which parking within 10 minutes walk away of the restaurant is plentiful.
